The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), a clean energy and climate action bill, signed into law in August 2022, has accelerated sustainable design and construction, aimed at decarbonizing buildings. This advanced IRA panel discussion assumes attendees are legislatively literate, as panelists will dive into (1) Client conversations – understanding the project goals and expectations and how the IRA impacts the project budget; (2) Financial advisor as a project stakeholder, (3) What documentation is likely be to be part of the certified project costs, and (4) How the project team needs to work together to produce the documentation (i.e. what needs to be included the specifications/construction documents). Panelists will discuss a “for profit” and a “non-profit” (i.e. school) types of clients.
